Welcome to Your Rules as a Host!
As a Host, whether you are an individual or an affiliate, there are many ways you can minimize the risk of misunderstandings with the visitors. Here are a few safety measures you might want to consider.
Register as a Host or Affiliate
The first thing you need to do is to make sure you register in your own cadre. If you're an individual having some non-commercial space to rent out, you need to register as a Host. But if you're a manager or an owner of any commercial space belonging to the hospitality industry, you need to register as an affiliate.
Therefore, registration is your first step to move forward.
Complete your Profile
Before accepting bookings, you need to complete your basic profile. This will set the right expectations for potential visitors.
Create an accurate and informative ad with appealing photos of the place.
1. Detailed description
Provide as much detail as possible in describing the Jagha you are renting. To avoid misunderstandings with Visitors be as detailed as possible.
2. Set boundaries
Be clear on house rules within your description and features. Are smoking and pets allowed? Are Guests allowed to park for free?
Host Identification & Verification
As a Host, another important aspect to keep in view is your profile verification. Visitors trust heavily on a host having verified account. You can verify your profile by adding your personal photograph, a scanned National Identification Card and your bank account details.
By receiving all these requirements, JaghaJagha Team will assign a verified icon to your profile.
Your Privacy is Maintained
No one other than the visitors you have confirmed has access to your full name or your contact details. Only your name, place name, its details with photo gallery and the general location of your place on the map will be visible on the website. A visitor will thus contact us before contacting you and therefore JaghaJagha will make sure you get a trusted and a reliable visitor.
Our Professional Service Offer
Be more attractive for your visitors as JaghaJagha offers services such as photography and interior designing to ensure that your place looks great. Once your registration is set up, you can apply for these services in your account.
Ask for a Security Deposit
Most of the times Hosts require that Visitors provide a security deposit at check-in to cover any incidentals. You may wish to do the same by requesting a security deposit from your Visitors. JaghaJagha is unable to collect deposits for you as this is usually done after the booking has been confirmed or at the time of check-in.
Keep Improving and Renovating
To be able to attract more Visitors to your Jagha(s), you should try to improve your place by adding new things to your showcased Jagha. Try to copy or match all professional ethics of a Hotelier. You are becoming an entrepreneur at a micro level so manage your Jagha professionally. Take photos when your place is almost perfect to take. Renovate your Jagha if its untidy, clear your room, clean your toilets to the Visitors liking.
Visitor Refund Policy
JaghaJagha's Visitor Refund Policy is in place to support visitors in case of an accommodation issue when booking on JaghaJagha. Under the appropriate circumstances, a full refund will be issued to the Visitor and no fee will be withheld by JaghaJagha or by you as a Host.
Issues generally fall into 3 categories:
(1) The place is misrepresented and inaccurate,
(2) The Host cancels a booking prior to check-in or does not provide Visitors with access to the accommodation place booked, or
(3) The place shown is generally unfit for accommodating Visitors.
For nearly 9 in 10 visitors, an online review is as important as a personal recommendation. Visitors are likely to decide 41% more for a place with rated reviews. Be polite while replying to a review even if its a bit negative. Instead try to remove the negative thing being pointed out by the visitor to turn into a positive thing for the next visitor.
